about the project
The easiest way to explain this project is probably to explain how it started. One day, my husband hit me with the good old “you know, curiosity killed the cat.” I am convinced he only says this because of the great joy I get from then insisting “and satisfaction brought it back! No one ever finishes that properly.” I decided I needed to know the origins of the phrase. A quick google search turned up a number of theories and the following article:
The sentence, “On Wednesday the cat, curiosity unsatisfied, tried to climb higher,” stuck in my head as I thought to myself, what a great name for a blog. Several minutes later I was searching google domains. Lo and behold, curiosityunsatisfied.com was available. Not even .org or .net, but the plain old .com! I couldn’t believe someone hadn’t already snatched it up. Things proceeded as they usually do, and by the end of the night, I found myself the proud owner of one new domain and a year’s worth of hosting services. I quickly convinced myself that learning WordPress would be easy enough, and surely it would be a highly marketable skill? (Results may vary)
Having done this whole process slightly backward – smarter people generally create a website for an idea they already have, rather than create a concept for a website that already exists – I decided to indulge myself and just research whatever I was curious about on any given week.
The infographics are just for kicks. Hope you enjoy!
